You may have heard about our launch on Solana today! If you’re new to DSCVR, new to Solana, or just want to learn more about the launch, this post should help get you up to speed.

What is DSCVR?

With over 200,000 users, DSCVR is the largest social network in Web3. DSCVR was founded as an alternative to traditional social media, giving users a social and community-building platform empowered by native crypto functionality, seamless monetization, and an open API.

Starting today, DSCVR is building the social home of Solana.

We’re excited to announce the next phase of DSCVR with the launch of our new platform features for Solana users, partnerships with popular Solana NFT projects, daily NFT giveaways, and an exclusive party in Amsterdam to kick things off at Breakpoint!

Extended NFT features for Solana community

Today’s announcement showcases a key integration that will expand DSCVR’s tokenized communities and crypto asset functionality to those building, engaging and transacting on Solana.

Solana users can make DSCVR their new social home with our initial feature release:

  • Log in with or pair your Phantom or Solflare wallet
  • Create, join, and meet other Solana members in communities (called “portals”) with NFT-gating functionality
  • Showcase your NFTs through verified PFPs
  • Buy and sell NFTs straight from user profiles
  • Receive Solana airdrops directly to your profile (we hear high quality posts boost your chances)

Dozens of key partnerships across the Solana ecosystem

DSCVR has teamed up with dozens of Solana’s biggest projects to create the foundation of a thriving Solana ecosystem on DSCVR. Some of these portals are live now for you to explore, and many of them will go live over the coming months.

Introducing The DSCVR Meteor Shower

DSCVR has always been airdrop friendly, but we’re leveling up our NFT giveaways with the DSCVR Meteor Shower - an entire meteor shower of airdrops.

Starting Wednesday, November 1st, DSCVR users can enter daily giveaways for free NFTs from each of our Solana partners! Here’s how:

  • Connect your Solana wallet to your DSCVR profile
  • Visit DSCVR daily to see today’s Meteor Shower
  • Join the project’s portal, enter their giveaway, and hang out with the community
  • Stay active in the portal for the next 7 days
  • Winners will be chosen at random from all active participants, with the winning NFT airdropped into their connected Solana wallet

To kick-off the upcoming DSCVR Meteor Shower, we’ll be hosting daily Twitter Spaces on weekdays starting today, November 1st at 12pm PST - listen in for alpha on upcoming giveaways!

The DSCVR Explorer Passport: Planet Solana

This is your ticket to explore Planet Solana to the fullest. Holding the DSCVR Explorer Passport NFT increases your chances to win each Meteor Shower giveaway.

In the past month, over 48,000 current DSCVR users applied as an Explorer to take part in a storytelling-based journey. The top 750 Explorers were notified on Monday that they will be airdropped an Explorer Passport this week.

Yesterday, our whitelisted users – community members from our Solana partners – minted out over 95% of the collection, allowing the public to mint out in just a few seconds.

For those who missed the opportunity, you can pick one up from the secondary market on Magic Eden.

Holders will double (2X) their chances of receiving airdrops during the DSCVR Meteor Shower, and gain exclusive access to the Explorer Passport Lounge portal.
